Cover reveal: May the Best Sister Confess
I’m thrilled to finally share it with you: the cover of my upcoming novel May the Best Sister Confess, coming summer 2026.

A cover reveal always feels like a quiet little explosion — suddenly a story that lived only in your mind and on your screen has a face. And this cover captures the novel perfectly: the fall, the tension, the layers of shadow and uncertainty.
Book Cover Reveal for Family secrets and the power of memory
Every family has them: stories passed down through generations, half-truths that have taken on a life of their own, or memories so painful that silence feels safer than speaking out. For me as a writer, that twilight zone between truth and secrecy is an endless source of inspiration.
In May the Best Sister Confess, family secrets lie at the heart of the story.
A fatal fall down the stairs in 1983.
Nearly forty years later: another fall.
And the question that refuses to go away: what really happened?
Each sister carries her own version of the past, and these memories shape how they see one another, their father, and the truth itself.
Why do family secrets strike such a chord with us?
Because:
-
they’re universal — every family has things left unsaid
-
they create tension — every secret begs to be uncovered
-
they reveal how memory works — no two people remember the same event the same way
It fascinates me how memory guides us. In a family, it’s rarely the event itself that defines the future — it’s the way the event is remembered. Who stood where? Who heard what? Who was present? Who wasn’t? Sometimes it’s the absence of memory that opens the door to interpretation… or misdirection.
In this novel, the past constantly collides with the present
When someone falls down the stairs again, everything shifts. Old wounds reopen, and long-buried secrets begin to surface. The past is never gone — not really.
With May the Best Sister Confess, I wanted to explore how family secrets can feel both suffocating and illuminating. Sometimes the key to understanding is not in what was said… but in what was never spoken aloud.
Here’s to a new year full of stories
2026 will be the year I finally get to share this story with you — a story about sisters, truth, loyalty, and what happens when memories begin to contradict each other.
